Hello and welcome to my little webspace for viking posaments! „Posa-what?!“ The shortest explanation would be: Filigrane metal ornament applications on medieval clothes. I have always been fascinated by celtic knotwork. These metal ornaments follow the same principles and were used to decorate viking's clothing. Being inspired by these extraordinary troves I started to do replicas and variations of these metal knots and braids with the typical up&down-patterns :o)

Beside the historical backround I am going to show you some pictures of the replicas I have already finished and also some jewellery inspired by the viking originals that can be found in Freya's treasure chest.   ;o)

And by the way "Really hard to catch" contains gems I caught in a web of silver filament. A very interesting way of transforming gem stones into jewellery also inspired by the admirably skillful work of the viking craftsmen.
